Process analysis

Press output rate is one of the main factors affecting the total sugar yield. If the press out rate is increased by 1%, the total recovery rate is increased by 0.88%~0.92%. Factors affecting the extraction rate are mainly due to the following reasons:

  1. The fiber component in the cane sugar expands when it leaves the press outlet after being pressed, at this time, the pressed fiber with its own expansion at the outlet will suck a part of the juice that has been pressed out, and at the same time by the impact of the press efficiency, the sugar in the sugarcane can’t be all pressed out, which creates a loss of sugar in the bagasse.
  2. The crushing degree and form of cane is the premise to ensure that the first press is pumped out. Cane crushing degree is good, cane juice is easy to press out, oozing effect is improved.
  3. Reducing the moisture of bagasse is the guarantee to improve the extraction.
  4. Ensuring that the thickness of the cane layer conveyed from the ripper is uniform is very important for improving the extraction rate. If the cane layer is too thick, the pressing will not be complete and the bagasse will be wasted; if the cane layer is too thin, the cane layer will not be dried and the moisture of bagasse will be too high, which will affect the extraction rate.
  5. In the late crushing season, due to the wear and tear of the rollers, the gap between the rollers is enlarged and the extraction rate decreases.

To summarize, due to the non-adjustable rotational speed of the press, the thickness of the cane layer delivered from the tearing machine will not reach the requirement about 10% of the time, which will make the average cane juice extraction rate lower than 95.4%. The lower the extraction rate, the greater the loss of juice, which results in lower yields. If the rotational speed of the press can be adjusted, when the back of the cane layer is not enough, by reducing the rotational speed of the motor of the press to make the cane layer reach the normal thickness before pressing, so that the pressing will be more adequate, the average extraction rate will be increased by more than 0.2%, and at the same time, due to the reduction of the rotational speed, the current is reduced so as to achieve the purpose of energy-saving and power-saving.
